Accessibility funding grant awarded to NBRHC Foundation

The North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) Foundation is receiving an RBC Community Spaces Grants this year.

A total of $12.5 million is going to 41 organizations across the country to advance environmental sustainability and accessibility in buildings and spaces.

The hospital foundation’s grant is earmarked for accessibility and will fund high-impact capital projects and improvements.

Since launching in April 2024, the program has committed $37.4 million to 120 projects across Canada.

Officials say the fund has provided support for retrofits, repairs or upgrades to existing public community buildings, as well as construction of new public spaces.
