Additional Lane Reductions on Trout Lake Road

The City of North Bay is advising motorists that starting Tuesday, Aug. 4, traffic controls will increase around the Trout Lake Road and Laurentian Avenue intersection to allow for continued reconstruction work.

An additional lane on Trout Lake Road will be closed, reducing traffic to one lane in each direction through the construction zone. The north section of Laurentian Avenue and Bank Street will also be closed to through traffic, with a signed detour in place.

Access to the Northgate Shopping Centre via the south section of Laurentian Avenue will remain open.

The project includes reconstruction of Trout Lake Road between Highway 11/17 and Kingsway Avenue, construction of a multi-use path and sidewalk, and conversion of the Laurentian Avenue intersection into a roundabout.

Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and follow all posted traffic control signage while work is underway.
