Backpacks of Love campaign is back
The Compassionate Committee for the Homeless in North Bay is once again putting together backpacks filled with donated essential items, for those in need.
Officials will be accepting donated items for the Backpacks of Love Campaign this weekend.
They will be at the Pro-Cathedral of the Assumption garage on McIntyre St. W. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 9.

New items needed include:
Sturdy backpacks/duffle bag
6 pk of socks – light & heavy
Silver emergency blanket (not regular blankets)
Sun hats/ball caps
Flashlights
Deodorant
Sunscreen (cream only)
Small hairbrushes (not combs)
Travel size shampoo/conditioner in one
Tarp
Feminine hygiene products
Toilet paper
Insect repellent (cream only)
Towelettes/wipes
Rain poncho
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Lip balm
Travel size body wash
Hair elastics for ladies
Monetary donations are also being accepted.
