Business community invited to Coffee and Chamber Conversations

By Richard Coffin

A new series being hosted by the North Bay & District Chamber of Commerce next month is giving the business community the chance to grab a coffee and talk.

Coffee & Chamber Conversations features North Bay Police Chief Daryl Longworth and Chamber CEO Donna Backer.

Officials say the events offer an open and approachable space for business owners, operators, and professionals to share insights, ask questions, and discuss the issues that matter most to them.

“We know how important it is for businesses to feel heard and connected to what’s happening in our community,” says Backer. “This series creates space to sit down over coffee to share perspectives and to work together to support a strong local business environment.”

Multiple sessions are taking place in May, and those taking part do not have to be Chamber members.

“Our local businesses are on the front lines and are often the first to spot patterns in crime, like shoplifting trends, fraud attempts, repeat offenders, and problem areas,” says Chief Longworth. “That insight is incredibly valuable to supporting public safety. And, when our local businesses are safer and supported, our shared public spaces, like downtown, shopping malls, and community events become safer too.”
