PHASE 2 DEVELOPMENT OF THE CITY'S AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL PARK WILL CREATE ECONOMIC GROWTH, INVESTMENT AND JOBS

North Bay's future depends on Economic Growth and Job Creation to provide opportunities for our families, children and grandchildren.
In 2007 I was part of a Council with a vision. A significant investment to bring underground Infrastructure to the Airport Industrial Park would attract Businesses and Create Jobs. Almost 20 years later Phase 1 is full.
The latest example of this success is the International Tactical Training Centre. They moved to the city, set up operations in the park, and created 60 full-time jobs, many of them filled locally. They are now poised for a massive expansion, creating more jobs for our Citizens.

Funds have been allocated in the Capital Budget over the next 3 years to complete Phase 2. The next Council will have to give final approval for the installation of the Underground Infrastructure.
Tied to this project is approval for the 4-mile lake road extension to Hwy 11. This has been discussed many times over the years as traffic on Airport Road continues to increase. This now must happen with the development of Phase 2
Once complete, residents on the Hill will see a significant reduction of Transport Trucks travelling down Airport Road.
This initiative will create Economic Growth, Investment and Jobs. If elected, I will work with the next Council to complete this critical project.
The project will require funding from other levels of Government. I have developed a good relationship with Federal and Provincial representatives and will work with them to secure the grants required.
