Edward Barry
January 24, 1947 - May 4, 2026
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Edward Barry at the North Bay Regional Health Centre following a brief illness in his 80th year.
Ed was born and raised in St. Catharines, Ontario where he resided for most of his life until he made the move to North Bay in 2016.
He retired from the Donohue Paper Mill after thirty five years so that he could enjoy doing other things. He built a house in Port Weller, close to his family and he made the most of his retirement.
He enjoyed living near the water, going for bike rides, travelling, getting together for celebrations, riding his ATV, a great campfire, and listening to his favourite group, Styx!
Ed had a wonderful sarcastic and contagious sense of humour. He loved a good laugh, great food and sweet treats. He enjoyed watching the news, cooking shows, but most of all his Chicago Blackhawks.
Predeceased by his loving parents, Jack & Lois Barry, and his former wife Donna Barry.
He will lovingly be remembered by his partner of ten years, Darlene Tomasini.
He will forever be remembered and missed by his three girls, Tracy Barry, Lori (Tony) Cirocco & Sheri Briscall (Nick). His seven grandchildren, Erika (Josh), Quinn, Nicolas, Kylie, Justin, Lucas & Leah and his longtime friends, Dave & Jackie Keracher.
Dad, may you rest in peace and cherish all of the good times that we had.
A special thank you to the Doctors & staff at the North Bay Regional Health Centre and the Northeast Cancer Centre in Sudbury for the wonderful care given to Ed.
As per his wishes, Cremation has taken place and he will be returning home to his family in St. Catharines where a Celebration of his life will take place.
