Gravelle, Anita Agnes (nee Martin)
1935-2026
It is with heartfelt sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother who passed away peacefully at Nipissing Manor Care Centre on Friday May 8, 2026.
Beloved wife of the late Rhéal Gravelle. Loving mother of Donald Gravelle, Claudette Horton (Todd), Daniel Gravelle (Louise), Carole Aultman (Dennis) and Richard Gravelle (Beatrice). She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Kathleen (George), Christopher, Ashley (Scott), Adam, Céleste (Brody), Tanya (Pete), Kennedy (Marshall), Gabrielle (James), Jeanie (Sam), Jacob, Patrick, Stephan (Kristine) and Michelle; also by her great-grandchildren Brianne, Tyler, Lexus, Mollie, Brynn, Ruby, Sloan, Mylan, Macklin, Erik, Théa, Cohen, Paityn, Nolan, Lauryn, Ava and Ellie; and last but not least her great-great-grandchildren Aubrey, Carter and Owen.
Anita is predeceased by her parents Lena and Aimé Martin, her daughter Suzanne (Bob) and granddaughter Chelsea. She is survived by her aunt Sally Aubut, several cousins, especially Shirley Duguay and Annette Lebel, nieces and nephews and her unforgettable friend Teresa Alberty.
Anita was an only child. She attended grade school and worked from the age of 12 at the Capitol Centre, Elk’s Lodge and St-Joseph’s General Hospital. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother.
