Golf tournament raises more than $32,000 for Nipissing Serenity Hospice
Organizers say the inaugural Nipissing Serenity Hospice charity golf tournament was a ‘tremendous success’.

The event on June 12 raised $32,000 in support of hospice care across Nipissing and East Parry Sound.
They’re thanking the golfers, sponsors, and donors who took part or got involved.

“We need to raise about $800,000 every year — roughly 40% of our budget — to support our programs, operate our facility, and enhance our residents’ experience,” says Bernadette Lindsay, Fund Development Coordinator. “Events like this are not only essential, but they’re also a wonderful way for the community to come together and have fun while making a difference.”
Dan Degagne, CEO of Degagne Pro Group, says they were proud to support the event as title sponsor.
“Nipissing Serenity Hospice provides such an important service to families in our community during some of life’s most difficult moments, offering not only compassionate care, but comfort, dignity, and personal support when it’s needed most,” he says. “Supporting organizations that make a meaningful difference locally is deeply important to us, and we’re honoured to help contribute to the incredible work their team does every day.”
Officials say they’re looking forward to building on the success of this year’s event in future years.
