Heat warning in place with city detailing places to cool off
The city is offering details on places to cool off with a heat warning in effect for the North Bay area.
Environment Canada says we can expect daytime highs between 28 and 32 degrees with the humidex between 35 and 40 over the next few days.
The city says air-conditioned spaces include the Transit Terminal on Oak Street between 8:30 am and 7 pm, Boart Longyear Memorial Gardens from 7 am to 10 pm, and the North Bay Public Library from 10 am until 9 pm.
Officials say there’s also Northgate, which is open from 10 am to 8 pm.
