North Bay OPP is investigating a fatal structure fire in East Ferris Township

The OPP says on Wednesday (Oct. 7) around 11:00 p.m., first responders were called to a report of a residential fire on Quae-Quae Road in East Ferris Township.
Police say a deceased person was found within the residence, with the OPP forensic identification team, the fire marshal’s office and the Office of the Chief Coroner of Ontario now assisting with the investigation.
A post-mortem examination has been scheduled in Sudbury.
The cause and origin of the fire remain under investigation.
The OPP reports no foul play is suspected at this time.
