OPP identify individuals in Sturgeon Falls fight video
The Nipissing West OPP says it’s aware of a video circulating on social media showing a group of young males allegedly assaulting an unhoused individual in Sturgeon Falls.
Provincial Police report they’ve identified the individuals involved and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
They also remind the public not to share or repost violent videos, as it can further traumatize victims and contribute to online harassment.
“The OPP recognizes that incidents involving vulnerable members of our community can be concerning,” states a release. “Everyone has a role to play in keeping our communities safe and ensuring incidents of violence are reported to police.”
Anyone with information that may assist with the investigation, including witnesses or those who may have relevant video, is asked to contact the Nipissing West OPP Detachment.
Information can also be provided anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or online at Ontario Crime Stoppers, https://ontariocrimestoppers.ca/ .
