Province-wide protest taking place in North Bay too

By Richard Coffin

Nearly 60 protests against the Ford government are lined up for Saturday, including locally.

Ontario Public Service Employee Union retirees are among the protesters set to gather outside MPP Vic Fedeli’s office at 1 pm.

Officials say some of the reasons they’re holding the demonstrations include healthcare underfunding, cuts to OSAP, ending safe injection sites, the end of rent control, the Freedom of Information Act, and more.

MPPs have been on the barbecue circuit since June 2.

Queen’s Park isn’t back in session until Oct. 27.
