It is with heartfelt sorrow that the family of Jean Lillian Sohm (née Campbell) announce her passing on June 21, 2026, at the age of 89 at Cassellholme in North Bay. Born in Windsor, Ontario to Mungo Andrew Campbell and Sarah Campbell (née Donaghy). Jean spent her early years in Windsor alongside her older brother and three sisters until she joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1956 as a Fighter Control Operator. During her service she met her beloved husband the late Donald Arthur Sohm. She was the guiding influence in the lives of her children, the late Dwayne Sohm (Donna), Kimberly Forsyth (Gerry) and Cathie Sanford (Kevin). Predeceased by her infant daughter Stacey Ann. Jean was the proud Grandma to Kali-Ann Sohm (Zack), Samantha Forsyth-Jacque (Wes), Joshua Forsyth (Stephanie) and Graham and Brendan Sanford. Special GG to Sterling Jacque and Clara Forsyth.

Jean was a long-standing and devoted parishioner of Trinity United Church, where she also served faithfully as secretary until 2002. A passionate singer, she was an active member of the church choir and shared her beautiful voice as a soloist on many occasions. Jean’s singing graced countless weddings, funerals, and special events at Trinity and throughout the North Bay community, leaving a lasting impression on all who heard her.

Jean was also a dedicated member of the Rebekah Lodge for over 40 years, where she served with distinction as Noble Grand for four terms, as District Deputy President for a term, and roles as Secretary and Financial Secretary. Throughout her years of service, she remained deeply committed to the Lodge and its community. Jean also generously shared her gift of song at many Lodge functions and special events

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30 at Martyn Funeral Home (North Bay), from 11:00am with the service to follow at noon. Interment will take place at a later date at the family plot in Strong Township Cemetery, Sundridge. Condolences may be offered online at www.martynfh.com.
