Team Winters wraps up five years on the pebbled ice

The hammer has curled into the sunset for North Bay’s Team Winters.

The U18 team from the North Bay Granite Club has announced they’re parting ways with two members heading out-of-town for post-secondary school.

It’s been quite a run for the North Bay rink, which was honoured by the North Bay Sports Hall of Fame this spring as the 2025 Team of the Year.

Throughout their five years on the pebbled ice, Team Winters represented Northern Ontario at Canadian, national and provincial championships.

They also competed at the Ontario Winter Games.
