(Update) Flooding reported around the city during Monday night’s storm

By Richard Coffin

The water has since receded, but several parts of the city saw flooding after Monday night’s deluge of rain.

A severe thunderstorm warning was in effect as the storm rolled through.

Photos, videos and comments on social media showed flooding along Lakeshore, Wallace Road, Fisher, the Fifth and Ferguson area, and more.

North Bay Hydro crews were also dealing with an outage in the Campbell Avenue area, with a tree and wires down.

The outage was resolved by 6 am Tuesday.

Hourly data from Environment Canada shows 20.4 millimeters (mm) of precipitation was recorded at the airport at 9 pm, with another 4.6 mm an hour later.  Another 0.4 mm was recorded at 11 pm.
