Voodoos host more than 60 prospects at summer development camp
More than 60 prospects took part in the Powassan Voodoos summer development camp on the weekend at Pete Palangio Arena in North Bay.

Coach Peter Goulet says it was exciting to see the attendance numbers at the summer skate.
“In my 22 years of doing camps at the Junior A level, it was probably one of the more balanced camps,” he says. “There weren’t any blowout games. Every game was 5-4, 5-5, 3-2, 3-1.”
Goulet says staff were also impressed with the growing local talent at the camp, with so many Trappers on the ice.
“Having the young kids out here is amazing,” he says. “It gives them a good read on what they need to do to get to the level to play Junior A. It was a good combination of some real solid hockey players and the 2010s and 2011s held their own out there.”
Main camp goes Aug. 20 in Powassan.
