Provincial funding for seven Senior Active Living Centres
Over $386,000 is flowing to seven Senior Active Living Centres (SALC) in Nipissing.
Vic Fedeli, MPP for Nipissing, says the funding will help the SALC programs deliver the services and community connections seniors need to live healthier, more independent lives.

“The Ontario government is focused on helping seniors stay socially connected, engaged in their communities, and close to home, supporting a happier, better quality of life,” says Fedeli. “Through investments in our local Senior Active Living Centers, more seniors in Nipissing have access to health, wellness, and social programs, and have the opportunity to stay active, which plays a key role in maintaining health and mobility.”
Officials say SALC programs offer a range of initiatives that bring seniors together to reconnect with old friends and meet new ones, including ongoing recreational, social, and lifestyle activities.
