In spring 2026, the SCU initiated an investigation into suspected drug trafficking activity within the community. Investigators subsequently executed a search warrant at a residence in the 500 block of McNamara Street. As a result of the warrant execution, a second accused was located and arrested.
During the search, officers located and seized quantities of suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine, and crystal methamphetamine believed to be possessed for the purpose of trafficking, along with evidence consistent with drug trafficking activity.
"Our Street Crime Unit is working tirelessly to combat the flow of illegal drugs into North Bay," said Insp McFarlane. "Drug trafficking has a significant impact on public safety and quality of life. We remain fully committed to disrupting the drug trade, holding offenders accountable."
Both accused were arrested and held in custody pending a bail hearing.
